Has anyone ever printed their own decals, or is it even feasable?

Check your local hobby shop for Testor's decal system. IIRC it comes with white decal paper, fixative and a CD of misc jpgs. Itt should work on inkjet and laser printers. Artwork, stars,crosses,etc you will have to search for. Or scan other decal sheets.

Of course you can print your own decals, within limits.

howdy..
Here is a project I did in 2005 using some custom decals for a nascar using the testors decal system.. Of note, I found the fixitive spray was not enough to keep the ink from running when trying to apply them and I then used a few coats of Testors Glosscoat to seal the ink better..
