We know that in the past certain kits had their rubber tires attack the base plastic of the kit. We, as a group, seem to still be afraid of this on more recently released kits. Does anyone have any evidence of the newer generation of kits showing a reaction between the styrene and the soft "Rubber"?

I coat the plastic part with paint where it comes in contact with the "rubber" tire even on newly released models. I also coat the tire with either paint or flat clear.

I will do put a barrier between "rubber" and plastic too. Next kit I think I will use Future. I just wonder if it is needed. It isn't hard to make a barrier.
