Greetings from Florida;
Long time lurker here. Took a 25 year hiatus from this wonderful hobby. Got serious about 1/35th scale military model building when I was stationed in Germany many moons ago.. Stopped because of deployment to that short desert war of 90/91. I recently built my first kit, a Tamiya M4a3 Sherman (Frontline breakthrough). Took me awhile to finish it. Ended up using alot of great aftermarket parts to detail it up. Currently working on an AFV Club M10. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Kindest Regards;

Welcome back to the Hobby! I'm a Desert Storm participant, and a modelling retread, too. I'm into planes at the moment, but will eventually find my way to the hordes of armor available.

Yeah, welcome back to the party! I'm all over the map in my modeling interests, but always look forward to hearing from the others here. Even the newcomers bring a new viewpoint and insights that the rest of us can learn from. (I hope I worded that right.)
Glad to hear from you, and like they already said above, thanks for your service!

@yellowhammer; were you by chance on the Civil war reenactors forum, and AC forum?

No I have not been involved with civil war re-enactors forums but that may be something for me to check out. I'm just a guy with a southern heritage, living most of my life in Alabama, hence the yellowhammer moniker.

My father instilled in me a love of civil war history as he was born in Charleston, SC within walking distance of Fort Moultrie and with a view of Fort Sumter from his front porch. My son is in the Army Reserves right now, in the 179th Infantry I think. Its history goes back to the 4th Alabama Regiment from the civil war. I was born at Fort Benning so a love of the south and the military has been a part of me and my family my entire life.
