I've been looking around the net for display cases recently as I'm planning on giving a completed model as a gift.

I'm probably going to need a custom sized case as the off-the-shelf ones I've seen from Trumpeter and the like just don't work with the dimensions I need.

Anybody have recommendations for manufacturers for custom sized cases that they have bought from ?

Thanks for the reply.
Any others, particularly cheap options in the UK as shipping would probably be expensive....

Hi Paul,

Paul here too.

Back in August I had a commission to complete based and cased of a Bedford MK 4tonne truck as a presentation piece.

We searched for Acrylic case and base on google and used a company that does cases for soccer and rugby balls !

You can buy them in a great range of sizes.

So... 300 x 200 x 200 mm sixe cost £27.00 plus p n p.
Just over £30 all in.

If you can't find these tonight, send me an email to
pee.dee@ yahoo.co.uk
and I'll get you the company name in work tomorrow daytime.

All the best
Peedee

You are right,

It's Custom cases that cost..... Almost double we found wherever you go.

However I still have no idea what size you are looking for to advise you any further.

Using frontage width, then depth, then height can you please tell me today? .. I may have another idea.....from a Kitmaker member !

Try Nigel Julian (Lampie) right here on kitmaker. He has a small business from home doing picture framing and bespoke display cases!

Cheers, D

It was Nige that I was going to put you in touch with Paul!

He does glass cases to order, in glass rather than

Click on the 'P47 heaven' logo above and that's Nige 'Lampie'

Thanks guys,
I'm looking for a case 25cm x 12cm deep and 19 cm tall.
The dimensions, the height specifically, seem to be just unusual enough that there are no off the shelf options.
Sadly I'm on a very limited budget so factoring in delivery costs I doubt I can afford anything bespoke in glass .
