Hey Guys!

Well, I needed a helmet that I can use for my original figures for production. So I started with a block of cured Magic Sculpt

Then I roughed out the shape using an X-Acto knife with #11 blade, round rat tailed file and some scotch brite.

Hmmmmmm....

Don't know what the deal is, but it doesnt show the whole post, eventhough I edited it several times making sure the script was correct...Anyways, here is the rest of it:

Next was to hollow out the inside of the helmet, I did this once before and cracked the helmet so this time I was more careful and left a little more of the edge on the helmet while drilling it out. I used broken drill bit in a dremel tool to drill out the shell.

And still not working right so lets try again...

Then I refined the shape again with sand paper and the X-Acto.

Here is the helmet on a face I did. The helmet wasnt as much hollered out when I took this picture as it is now (second pic of the hollow shell)

The helmet is still in progress, seamed like the shell is a little to tall and I have fixed that now. Next will be to add the plastic helmet inside this one and do the lining. Will post here once I have updates available!

Glad to see you working on this. I need to model one in 1/16 for my US Airborne (Normandy). It's the guy with the mohawk. I'd rather have him in an airborne helmet. Did you base the helmet on the figure or did you use real world measurements?
