Howdy,
I am working on Dragon's old Sherman Firefly Vc, #6182, and have come to the point of mounting the brush guards for the lights and am having BIG problems doing so
Using CA glue but there just isn't enough surface to glue.
I would use the plastic ones and thin them normally but for some odd reason Dragon didn't include them.
Any advice ???
Thanks in advance !
Tom

Maybe scratch a small indent in the hull surface-just enough to insert the etch a bit and provide more room for the CA glue to grab on to. I found products like Gorilla Glue worked better for these small attachment areas than regular CA as they are a bit thicker and have a slight degree of flex when cured. You can get just enough on to look like a weld bead.

Thanks for the tip Russ. I was toying with the idea of heating a #11 blade and making the indents that way but wanted to get some other opinions & ideas before I do something crazy. It looks like a trip to Home Depot and get some Gorilla Glue.
Thanks again !
Tom
