Hello all,
I am using Testors Dullcote Lacquer (1160) the one that comes in the tall, rectangular bottle. It dries nice and flat but I'm getting little white specks on the model after I spray it. Does anyone have any idea why? And if so, is there anything that can be done to prevent it? Any help is appreciated!

It sounds like it is drying, before it gets to the intended surface. Reducing the lacquer should remedy your problem. Another possibility is that you have a bad bottle.

Hello,
White specks and buildup mean that too much matte coat is being applied to that area, or a heavy coat if you will.
Possible solutions:
- Shake the can longer
- Warm the can a little in warm/hot water then spray
- Don't spray in cold surroundings
Possible fixes to your model:
- add gloss coat over the affected area, it may make the white specks completely disappear
- rub the area gently with isopropanol
- paint over the affected area with a tiny brush
