he was a nice old guy.
he did a lot for tv in the early years he will be missed.
millions of kids saw his tv show every day.

He's one of the last of a sadly bygone era...I remember him from the early 60s if my memory serves me right.
It seemed to me a better thing to watch Captain Kangeroo than the rubbish kids watch these days- but I'm an old fart.
He'll be missed- by us old farts. Todays kids won't even know him...
