I got this idea after doing a news item for a kit of a submarine of one that was considered a 'Kalamity' - The World War I era K-Class British submarine.

I believe there's plenty of subjects of all types to represent something that seemed like a good design on the drawing board only not being able to live up to expectations in the real world.

For example:
The Ford Edsel car.
The F7U Cutlass jet fighter.
The K-19 'Widowmaker' submarine.
The Schwerer Panzerjäger tank hunter.

Or maybe adjust the theme to be based on famous failures that would also include things like the sinking of the TItanic or the Apollo 13 accident.
It's something that could reach across all genres.

Any thoughts?

Very good example with an available kit.

Other failed prototypes ideas could be the Convair XVY Pogo fighter or the Object 279 Soviet Heavy Tank.

Hey, Michael, this sounds like a very interesting idea for a campaign. Not sure if I'll have the time but I might do a A7V or M60A2.

I have not start date set in mind yet, just fishing for the interest.

I'd like to do my Revell Titanic kit for this if there's enough interest for such a build.

No idea what the ribbon could be.
