Looking for a good webstore to purchase 1-3mm brass rod. Hobbylinc is the best, so far. I was wondering if there is an industrial supplier to buy from for less($2.49 for 1mm rod).

Did you check out any local hardware stores like ACE or Truevalue. They both have access or may stock K&S Precision Metals.

Speaking from recent experience, I can tell you that if you want industrial prices, you have to buy industrial amounts. If you've bought rod at your LHS in a packet, you'll have a name you can use to try to buy direct the manufacturer. Jewellers suppliers is another place you might source your stuff.
Good luck!

Don't forget to add the shipping into the cost of the rod when you make the comparisons. A lot of time that'll push the price over what you can find it locally for.

Brent mentioned K&S Metal. I just picked some of their stuff up at the LHS. Their stuff seems really reasonable. I paid $1.49 for 5ft of .032" (.081mm) rod (5 12" pieces).
Here's their website: www.ksmetals.com. They have a list of retailers (about half way down the listings on the left side). Maybe there's someone close to you.

hobbylinc.com has most sizes of brass rod. For some reason, Google search on my pc displays different results than that on my phone.
