Squadron has it on pre-order (they have for several months). Check the "new" section for it.

Thanks, but I'm a VLS kind of guy and I've already got my pre-order in.
US$93 and free shipping with the membership I get for a birthday present every year.
Where to store it, and how to sneak it into the house are the only problems now...

What happened to the 1/35 Mi-8/17 "Hip" (not that with the release of the Hind, I'm really complanin', mind)? Not the prettiest helo in the world, but, offers astounding versions/markings variations.

Now, go ahead and call me a whiny baby and all, but am I the only one who feels that close to $100 for this is excessive? ? I mean their K5 can be purchased for the same price, in the same scale, and this doesn't look close to the same category in terms of complexity. I think Trumpeter's pricing scale lumped in the "big scale aircraft" category, where these prices seem to be the norm, rather than the "armor" category where these prices are high.
OK, ranting done. I'll go ahead and order one now.

I don't necessarily think it's excessive for 468 parts. With that many parts, photoetch, what looks like a complete interior and engine, I think it's right in line. Think of how cool that will look in a diorama?

The price is steep enough that I won't be rushing to order (and I'd rather have the "Hip"), but there's no denying that the prices are NOT affecting sales, at least a my local hobby shop. I only hope IPMS/Alamo Squadron is planning on enough table space for the "Aircraft - 1/32 and Larger" category for next month's contest. The may have to reinforce those tables, as well! Did I hear rumors of a Trumpeter 1/35 or 1/32 scale B-17?? Man, even if I could afford it, I don't have the space to build/display it.
