There has been some discussion on how the price of new kits is on the rise. A few I wouldn't mind paying for. However, I have also noticed that some of the very nice kits(i.e. Dragon, Trumpeter, etc.) have plunged. Personally, there are plenty of these accurate kits to keep me busy for years. So, I would pay $35 for these kits and, on occasion $60+ for one of the new releases. I just can't complain and am glad to see some long awaited vehicles being released. JMHO

There's certainly some truth there..especially if one has the willpower to wait until a new release is not so new anymore. The price often comes down significantly and there are times for reviews and critiques to set in.
I usually wait for sales and even troll Amazon from time to time where I just bought a Tamiya Simca for $14.
The one thing that bugs me is 1970's era sets sold at modern prices lol.

Tamiya, not to put too fine a point on it.
