Pardon my ignorance but I can't seem for the life of me figure out how to delete photos from my gallery, how is this accomplished?

first make sure you are logged in. sometimes when you switch areas in this web site you have to log in again.
click on the photo you want to remove. under it there is a row of tiny icons. one of them is EDIT image. click on that.
near the bottom of the edit screen just above the SUBMIT button is a check box for delete. check the box, then submit.

How would I move a photo out of my Gallery and into an Album? I would like to keep my old photos but don't want them in the general gallery. I created an Album but I don't know how to move the photos into the Album.

I Think you'd have to delete them one at a time from where they are, and then re-upload to the new album.
