Yes as a matter of fact I've been reading on that site for the last 2 hours, great info! Have you had any luck using a micro torch? Seams like that process is becoming pretty popular.

On another note and of subject when I first tried to register on that site I didn't follow the directions and put in my call sign instead of my full name,my bad,but I can't fix it as it says my e-mail address is already in use. I've sent 2 inquiries to the staff but still no reply, any ideas on how I can correct this?

I find the micro torch hard to control , just one of those that I can't do . I'll ask around and see what they say . You said you tried to contact them , we'll give it a bit of time for them reply . They are located at New Zealand so there a big gap in time . Patience sir , it will all work out . Either that or create another email and register again .

Well I think it was Steve,I contacted the site administrator.
Originally when I first signed up I put in Alaska as my user name then not receiving a response I went back and read more closely and the wanted my real full name so I tried that and got the pop up indicating that my e-mail address on that site was already in use and couldn't correct it so I mailed the site admin. and explained twice that I was having a problem and at this time I haven't received a response! I don't have another e-mail address to use and I don't want one,so I don't know what to do at this point???

Thanks for inquiring Edmund!

Edmund I just went to the site and what I did before was just to use the contact option on top of the home page so I don't know who it was that I sent it to.

I actually tried to contact the site administer and it won't allow you to unless your a confirmed member, go figure!

Don't know what to do except to just wait, any suggestions?

Yes it came last night! Of course I haven't used it yet but I did unpack it and it sure looks nice! I got my fiberglass cleaning pencil to. I received the 50/50 solder but I also ordered some 60/40 rosin core .032 on ebay and thats on the way. Got Nokorode flux/paste also.

Sounds like you have everything under control . Did you get any PE bending tool like the small shop ? If you have not got any yet , consider an all metal one . Stay away from the plastic ones . Sure they cost less but you get what you pay for .

Yes I did get the SmallShop 4" bending tool and it seams to be made very well/solid!

Waiting for a nice set of tweezers to help me out when I finally get to working with that pe kit of mine, I have to admit that even with all the nice new tools I've been getting for the pe work I'm still a little apprehensive to jump right in. I'm going to cut off some of the extra material on the edges of the sheets and practice on that first.

Did you mention that I should get a heat sink?

Craig..

I use a set of clips similar to alligator clips but with a smooth face and not too much spring tension , they are copper also . I got them at radio shack but those guys are closed now . Look for something like that .
