Hello all
I was dis-assembling my Spray-Work HG Superfine Airbrush 74514 and the tiny little nozzle got broken while I was unscrewing it. Does anyone know a good source for replacement nozzles and needles for this particular airbrush?
Also, i'm slightly concerned that the base of the nozzle has remained screwed tight inside the main piece of the airbrush... hard to describe, I guess. But I don't have this airbrush very long and if possible, I'd prefer to chance spare parts now before having to take the plunge and purchase a full airbrush replacement.
If anyone can help re spare parts, I would be soooo grateful!

You could try a triangular or square file , the small ones to go inside and unscrew the broken piece .

Badger make a tool to unscrew the tips it's probably better than the file . It wont break off .

Not really. The Badger website isn't too well laid out. I emailed them with a description of what I was looking for but they haven't replied. I found an item on ebay which looks like the item i'm looking for but i'm not sure. Here is a link. Have a look and let me know what you think...

Badger calls it a cleaning reamer , # 50-060 . It's triangular in shape and for a badger 100 you take the needle out and insert it in place of the needle and screw out the tip . In you case you can go in from the front and screw out the broken piece . Now if you can find a screw extractor that small it would probably work also . It's available on eBay for 11 bucks free shipping . Or if any cheaper from badger . Sorry I keep forgetting your on the other side of the pond . By the way what you got is not the reamer . It's just a needle .

Do an eBay search for 50-060 , maybe drop the dash and see what you come up with ?

I've ordered one from Amazon just now. If it gets me out of this rut and I can get a replacement nozzle ok, then I'll be a happy man )
Why is it so hard to find individual spare parts for Tamiya airbrushes!!! Grrrr...

Are you ready for the sticker shock , an HG nozzel is 41 dollars plus shipping over here at coastairbrush.com . Hope it's cheaper over where your at .

Coast Airbrush (or was it Bear Air) here in the states was the source when I had to replace mine 5+yrs ago. IIRC, it was $35 +

I'm sticking with the Badgers . Rather than replace tips I just went out and bought three different heads and needles . Never had the need to remove those tips . The reamer is more than enough to clean them . Plus parts are relatively inexpensive .

Any luck on the cleaning reamer sir ? Or the replacement tips ?

Hey there. I'm just waiting for that tool to arrive. It should be in the letterbox in the next 2 days. I've had no luck finding a source for replacement parts. I still need to find one!

I found on eBay some generic tips .2mm for the cheap airbrushes , have you looked into something like that . I believe the brand was Fengda and the tip was a bd41 . And it fits on iwata airbrushes I really should not say cheap I have nothing bad that I can say about them , the airbrush worked as good as any other double action airbrush that I have used . It's just the tips are soooo easy to break putting them back on . They are so tiny . Try www.cnbida.com maybe they have what you need . Hope it's what you need .

That site looks decent. It might well be the way to go. I'm just wondering if these are compatible with my Tamiya airbrushes though. I know what you mean about the delicate needle tips. I've wrecked a few myself at this early stage! I am wondering though if perhaps I have made a big mistake by using Tamiya airbrushes though. Replacement parts for other brands seem to be much easier to come by online

No you did not make a mistake , there are parts that will work with your airbrush . It's just there's no cross reference so you have to on your own find what will work . Try searching on eBay for fengda airbrush parts . I just did than and found a seller from hongkong royalmax_global he has a tip and a needle for 8dollars and some odd cents free shipping to your place , give that a try , nice close up picture also . Have fun and drink a pint or two for me .

I did check out that seller and I emailed him asking if the needle and nozzle were suitable for the Tamiya 74514 and the seller replied to say no. I haven't had the couple of pints for you yet but I will soon
I also checked the Hobby Link Japan website but there was nothing on it.

My little cleaning reamer finally arrived and I just tested it and it removed the broken nozzle splendidly! That's a good start.
I will try to test out this replacement nozzle over the next couple of days. It's not a Tamiya nozzle of course so fingers crossed
