Walther's Solvaset question
Posted: Wednesday, May 20, 2015 - 12:34 AM UTC
Quick question regarding Walther's Solvaset, which I just started using. It has clouded up my base coat of Future in several spots when I was applying it to some stubborn decals. Will this cloudy patch go away under a second coat of Future or do I need to scrub it off before sealing in my decals? Just hoping to avoid doing something silly at this stage of the build and ruining it.

I think it will go away with another coat of future. I've had this problem before and it helps to allow the original future coat to cure for a long time, several days at least. But with a fresh coat it should be ok.

i had that happen on a alclad job. i noticed whitish, cloudy drops after decaling. the next day they were gone.i didn't use future on the NMF though, i applied the decals right to the alclad i think. i don't remembeif i sealed them with testors gloss or shot the gloss before the decals.in any case the spots dissapered on their own.
