Hi All
I'm trying to add wiring & plumbing to the italeri M-107, i have this thin metal wire (it's not copper) that i want to use but the problem is that CA Glue is not bonding it strong. if i glue one end, let it dry, then try to start bending the wire to shape the glue brakes. i'm using copper wirefor hydraulics and it glues better, but i need this thin wire for electric conduit.
any suggestions?

there is solder wire that might work. It comes in different diameters and doen't try to "spring" away from itself.

Have you ever given a heavy test fishing line a thought, I know it works great on ships, and depending on the test it has all different sizes.

Three thoughts:
1. Sink a hole in the connection point first using youir pin vice and an apporpriate bit.
2. Dry fit the wire and bend it before glueing
3. Get some more flexible material, such as the hosing and ingntion wire stuff in the car section of your LHS.

Hey all,
Don't dispare, there are numerous sources for small scale wire. Myself, I never throw out any electrical appliance without checking for wire. My old vacuum cleaner gave me almost a lifetime supply of copper wire of the diameter you are looking for. It is very fine copper and is perfect for what you are looking for.

Hi,
If you want to use the wire, you need to take the temper out of it. Grab a piece of wire, heat it over a candle till it glows red, then let it cool (completely). You may want to do it outside, so you don't burn a hole in the carpet
The wire should then be flexible.

Nylon and steel guitar strings, can't say enough about them. Predrilling holes is a good idea too.
