I go down to my local Barnes & Nobles looking for magazines. Seems like all of them are either published in the U.K, not sure where Tamiya monthly mag is published (since I consider it a Japanese company. I have no problem reading none American published magazines. Just the advertising for parts, paints, and kits are over seas. I was hoping if I found and American based Modeling Mag, they might have ads for shops I can purchase from in the Continental U.S and not wait 2 weeks for shipping or pay extra shipping costs.

To my knowledge Kalmbach Publishing's Fine Scale Modeling, Scale Auto Modeling, and a Model Rail Road mag. I've been a Subscriber to FSM for close to 30 years. I don't think that their articles go in depth as much as I would like but that's just me. Seeing that they are a local magazine I also get to see some of the feature builds in the flesh at my local hobby shop.

The best modeling mags come from the UK and Europe. The ones in the US are very "cliquey" and usually don't have the level of detail that the UK and Europe mags have.

Javier,
If you join AMPS and IPMS you get Boresite and the IPMS Journal, which are filled with good articles from average modelers and loads of ads from USA shops!

That's "Model Railroader".
Also, non-Kalmbach mags "Model Cars" & "Railroad Model Craftsman". There are probably 1 or 2 other model railroad mags, also.
