Hello, I wanted to share a little something that Happened on Saturday.
Me and My Wife were shopping at K-Mart and found ourselves leaving as the same time as an older gentleman who was wearing a baseball cap indicating that he had served in the military. My wife stopped him and we thanked him for his service.
He told us he was 91 and went ashore on Omaha beach on D-Day, He told us there were not many left that had did that. Then he went on to tell us what was most important to him.
He told us about his granddaughter who was a Sergeant in the Army and had completed 2 tours, one in Germany and the other in Afghanistan.
He was proud of his service to his country and prouder still that others such as his granddaughter were doing their service all these years later.
The Veterans of WWII will be gone all to soon now, so when you see one in your area stop and say hello, and thanks, and you may just get a wonderful story.
