Hi all!
getting ready to dip my toe into some armor modeling... I usually do aircraft, but there seems to be a much W I D E R market of armor/vehicles available instead of the usual Bf 109s, F/A 18s, and F14s in VF 84 markings...
I LOVE airplanes (former USN Aviation Electrician 3rd Class), but I was thinking about doing a dioramas for a gift to my brother... USMC veteran (Beirut barracks bombing time-frame)
I thought I would try something for ME first and see how it goes...
my 1st will be the SdKfz 222 in Tunisia... just to get my feet wet... I have the Verlinden 'mid-east house' front, and some figures... I just need to finish my current airplane, clean my table, and get started...
I REALLY like this forum/site... and I hope to stick around for a while and plan to pick MANY brains!
thanks in advance!!
TB

I know Cartersville well... I used to work up there
Actually, I wasn't aware of the IPMS... I have been out of the hobby for a couple years... where is it?
I may try to stop by... is it all weekend or just Saturday?

If you want to hang out with some Armor nerds, the Atlanta AMPS club meets the 1st Saturday of every month at the Hobbytown USA in Kennesaw at 10am.
