Volunteers: AMPS works because of volunteers stepping up to do a variety of jobs to help set up for a show or help in some day to day society functions. As in past shows, AMPS volunteers stepped up to help make the weekend a great succes for everyone. This year's show is no exception. In continuing this tradition of volunteerins, AMPS needs volunteers at the museum (show site) on Thursday, April 30th at 9:00 am to help set up the vendor room, judging area and seminar classrooms. Not sure how you can help? Not to worry. Show up and AMPS show coordinators will find tasks that need someone to complete.
AMPS U is not quite at the implementation phase, so unfortunately it will not be held at this show. However, on Thursday, April 30th, from 1:00-3:00 pm, AMPS has the privilege of having Adam Wilder present a weathering demonstration. This would be a great opportunity to ask those questions that were bugging you all year. Hey, maybe he'll autograph the underside of that Sherman or Panther?.
The Braille Scale meeting will occur on Saturday, though the time and location are yet to be determined. Stay tuned for more information.
Military vehicles (M1151 HMMWV & M1078 LMTV) from the INARNG ( Indiana National Guard) will be displayed on Saturday, May 2nd. Bring that camera!
Show committee members are putting final touches and last minute changes to the official show schedule and when completed, will be posted to the AMPS homepage at amps-armor.org. Drop by the site today and check out the latest product reviews and AMPS news.
Stay tuned for more show updates!
Cheers,
Chuck
