Greetings fellow model enthusiasts. My name is George and I am from the western suburbs of Chicago. Just reaching out to say that I've recently gotten bit by the 1:35 scale bug and I am very excited to start building my very first kit. I'm no stranger to modeling as my primary hobby has been in the 1:6 scale subject. I'm looking forward to sharing and being a part of this creative community. Cheers!

Thanks for the welcome guys. I'd like to start off with figures within the modern war/cold war subjects. I just ordered the Master Box - 35163 - Somewhere in the Middle East kit. I can't wait to get my hands on it.

George,
If you are looking for some kindred souls who meet up in the western 'burbs, look up Chicagoland AMPS (http://www.amps-chicago.org/). They meet in Wheaton at the Cantigny/1ID Museum. They are great bunch of guys to hang out with during and after meetings. Also, the AMPS International Convention will be a short drive from Chicago in Auburn Indiana at the end of April/Beginning of May.
