Anybody else here besides me that likes to build What If? type models? I consider What If's to be the should have been's, could have been's, prototypes, and other misc. stuff that never got built or put into production, but should have. These can be anything from the USS Montana battleship to an Israeli A-10 Warthog aircraft. I absolutely love building different stuff using different paint schemes, decals, armament options, and so forth. Granted, there's nothing wrong with building straight from the box either. We all love our Yamato's, Tiger tanks, and so forth. But sometimes, building the "same old, same old" can be a bit boring. We all need a break from time to time.
Here's my What If craziness:

I must admit I'm partial to a bit of what-iffery now and again. Usually use kits I did years ago which are no longer up to scratch as a base.

Here are two Humvee based What-if vehicles I've done in the past:

First, my Leatherman Humvee

And a Future Humvee:

The turret is from an M1117 Guardian.

Currently looking at the Trumpeter Fennek, which would look nice in IDF colours & markings with a Live Resin remote weapon station with the .50 and Mk40 grenade launcher

Great stuff Sean!!! Yeah it can be very stress relieving and it is a goo way to try new paint and get some joy out of parts that otherwise would just get junked!

I think there's a current campaign for this stuff too - What if V? I'd join but that usually spells the death knell on any whif projects as I then find my time booked with historicals ....

The Fennek is my plan for tgat campaign Brent.
Heres one i did for one of the previous End Of Days campaings. Based on the Italeri Hemtt I added scratch build armor around the truck bed, wire mesh screens on all the windows, "home made" bull-bars and lots of guns & storage. And flood lights along the sides for when stuck out overnight on a scavaging run.

I suppose this might be considered a "What If?"

That's awesome Sean !!!! And your Greyhound too Jonatahan.

I'm just finishing the paintwork on this below ....

ps I'd join the campaign but I have a ton of whiffs partially built already (shelf queens lol) that only really need a bit of detailing and paint.
