Just found a 14/0 flytying thread to use for rigging ships, up till now all I was able to find was 8/0. i ordered it and cant wait to see how thin it is. i plan on using it for the top rigging were all the yards are thinner and the lines were lighter.

I've been trying to find an post on one of the forums that I read awhile back concerning really fine fly-tying thread, and I have yet to find it.

You are probably referring to Uni Caenis 20 denier thread.

It is the thinnest thread you will find on the market for
fly tying and works out great for ship rigging in 1:700 scale.

This stuff is also used in the manufacturing of panty hoses
it is that thin.

You can also try synthetic hair extensions for 1:700.

I will have to try both on 1:350 ships for scale effect.
