I wish there were some large scale, 1/100+, kits available representing early American BB's. I went to see the USS Kansas display model in Topeka decades ago and was totally impressed by the scale and possibilities it represents for detailing. At 62 I really don't want to go through the process of scratch building even though that would solve the problem of waiting for a company to produce one in kit form. I have been looking at the old Glencoe USS Oregon kit and might give it a whorl even though there are some glaring deficiencies. The Armored Cruiser Olympia is another possibility and is in the same scale but I want bigger. If anyone is aware of any large scale kits or maybe hulls available please let me know.
