Whilst in my local DIY store (Homebase in the UK) I noticed an air compressor for the sum of £30. It stated that it went up to 150psi - I assume this was variable - and was for things such as inflating tyres/dinghys/etc. The connector appeared to be the sort you see in air pumps in garages.

My question is, never having seen an airbrush in the flesh, would this be suitable or is it best avoided?

Cheers

David

sounds way to powerful, and probably non-adjustable. If you're looking for a cheap one, pick up that Testor's Blue one. Great Models has it for around $80 US

Or get yourself a pressure regulator!
Model expo has one for 149.00 bucks but in America so shipping would eat your Lunch!!!
One thing about Model air compressors they must be good ones ,cheaps ones will turn you off as they can not maintain air at pressure without over heating!!

I know you get what you pay for is the way to go (++)

As long as it has a regulator on it you can use any compressor with the proper fittings. Need the regulator to reduce that pressure to 25-30 psi.
