Well, no use crying because my toast fell jammy side down, it's just a case of lick the jam off of the floor and carry on .
Or more precisely, lots of other pieces to work on while I sort the "problem area" .

well not brilliant news, but I've worked out why/how I've messed up in a number of areas . For some unexplainable reason I started the build using 24th scale diagrams/conversions then switched to my preferred 25th scale - hence areas not aligning as required .
Option 1 - bin it all and start afresh
Option 2 - select the 25th parts and bin the 24th parts and continue
Option 3 - walk away with my head in shame and crawl back into my hole in the ground.
Might just sleep on it for a few days

dammit man, are we never going to get to see this thing finished?
Using two rules at once is a mistake only NASA engineers could make.

Still undecided as to it's fate
However there are a few other 'projects' rolling around in my noggin that need to be converted to actual physical builds
However first I need a bit of time for the dent to my pride to heal over

Well this project's fate has been decided - it now resides in the recycling bin . Had a slightly viscous clean-out, any stalled/half-started projects all meet with the same fate.
So now the bench is totally clear and hopefully my mind can now concentrate on a single project .
Still undecided on the next project but possibly:








Cat 924G, Gz or H - still deciding (even though they are the same vehicle with minor upgrades). Also still undecided on scale - 24th or 35th . Got heaps of info for the build:

Well this vehicle is really bugging me now (1937 C-65 Crawler), I think I've finally calmed down enough and had a rational debate with myself (yes, I am taking pills for this ) and the conclusion I've reached is that it deserves a second attempt .
So it's time to 'pop the cherry' on my clean new workbench and start again.
Might be a little while before any progress worth noting is accomplished but we'll see .

Note - the plans and dimensions have been triple checked and checked again by someone else, so this time I won't be falling into that trap again .
