I am trying to figure out the correct color for a Tamiya Merkava Mk.1 tank.
I plan to build it pretty much out of the box with the decal.
The instruction said the color is XF-59, but it seems to be too yellowish. Most of the picture I saw has a hint of greyish green tone to the color and the sandy color is more related to the dust accumulated on the tank. I am thinking about sand tan from Vallejo and added a touch of grey and khaki to it. There is the Sina Grey primer from Vallejo but that seems to be for a later era tanks. Any suggestions?
I am also wondering do they have non-slip service on MK.1s ?
Thanks for your help.
