Hey guys,
I love to fill up my dioramas with vegetation and other real world effects, always on the look out for better tips.
I add real dirt and rocks, as well as dead sticks for logs, but what about live things? Does anyone know how to preserve plants, specifically mushrooms so that they still look alive in a diorama? The mushroom I wanna put in an alien landscape diorama.
Thanks for any help

Live vegitation will dry up or decay, even if coated with a preservative. For a mushroom your best option would probably be resin or plastic. Even something ceramic from a craft store could be repainted and made more realistic. If it is alien, size and colors wouldn't have to matter.
