hi this is the easiest thing to make , you need alumium foil see my article of replacement rack guards , a multi turreted hole punch get one from a leather store or shoe repaire shop and plastic card , punch out a suitable dia of plastic card you will need at least 40 thousands of an inch for the base , then cut a stip of aluminium foil the correct height , and roll it round the base to form a tube , leave a tiny bit at the rear to form a seal ,super glue the tube to the base and you have a hollow true aluminium soda can , you can also punch out the same dia in aluminium and pop it inside and you do not need to paint internaly , all you do then is detail on the outside , these can be made in any scale from 1/35 to 1/9 just needs application and trial and error . the same method can be used for buckets or trash cans just needs a wire handle cheers ian
