Dear all,

Recently I did some hobby restoration project. I sprayed tamiya black on sheet metal. I wanted a nice glossy sheen so I was contemplating spraying Future on it. I used future on some wooden decorative parts (shadow box) and oh boy....looks beautiful way better than lacquer or varnish and no clouding...

I saw on YouTube. .some modellers advised that future will corrode the photo etch parts. I know future contains ammonia and I know ammonia corrodes, eventually. ..

Any advices or insights?

Are you using Future Floor Polish (now Pledge Floorcare Multisurface)? As I don't believe that product would have ammonia in it... Theres ammonia in Windex, which is why it's such a good acrylic and airbrush cleaner.

I stand corrected, a quick check of the SC Johnson website says that there is ammonia in the Pledge Floorcare Multisurface. But seeing as it does dry at a good pace, and you have paint on the parts I don't see how it could affect the parts.
