Not yet finished

Dug In T-72

I'm not yet done. Lacked sand and other details coming soon. At least you have an idea on how it will turn out.

Thanks!

Lookin pretty good, Shonen. This is the same T-72 you posted a while back right? What did you use for the basic terrain?

Aquarium sand + some left over plaster of paris. Will still add some more this weekend. It's still shallow. I have to make it an inch thick.

SR: Looks promising. BTW, to save on plaster and sand, use "fillers" for the berms and other major high points of your terrain. By fillers, I mean styrofoam, a block of wood, anything to heighten the terrain feature you need to the approximate height. Then cover it with your ground work. That way, you save on your materials by not building up layer-by-layer to the desired height.

Also, any close-up pix of the figure?

Sorry GI, no close up pic of the fig yet. Need to practice more on washes and detailing it. Hope it turns out good.

Hanep! Galing ah. Shonen, you should really teach me your dio techniques. Im planning to do a few myself.

Oh sure! I've been doing desert diorama because they are just very easy and quite plain opposed to jungle and such. Just tell me what you'll do and I'll be glad to help you to the extent I can.

Now that's even better. Good progress SR. Can't wait to see this when it's done.

Query: what's the material at the trench's walls?

Matchsticks inspired from the modeler who made ships (WWII-modern) out of MATCHSTICKS. Believe me, his works are darn accurate down to the Sea King's rotation of its blades and radar.

Sure Jeep just teach me how to wash with acrylics. Specialty ko is desert and snow terrain so I may not be able to help much in other terrain types.
