Hello from a burned out ship modeller in SE Washington State. In the past 10 years I have done the Midwest tug Sequin, Model Expo Phantom and currently building Model Expo's Charles W. Morgan. My primary hobby is amateur radio.
I am a retired mechanical engineer (retired from the nuclear industry in 2002), age 73 and a cancer survivor.
The biggest hurdle I have to model building is I'm in the initial stages of macular degeneration.
With a change of pace in mind, I've elected to build Dragon's 1:350 USS Benson DD-421, out of the box and in her 1940 configuration. Purchased the kit last week and am in state of shock!! I don't know if it was the right choice for me, but I do want to give it a try. I'll post general and specific questions related to Benson in the forum.
