A semi truck thread on another forum inspired this build last night.

The idea

I think it is 1/32 or close too it. The bottom bar is one piece, with the center slats punched out.

Thoughts/tips? second bar from the bottom should be below the side bar not on top oh well. I needed like 5 hands trying to hold it all together.

One day I may have something like this added to my VN780

That's a nice looking grill guard. What are you going to put it on? I've seen guards like that on a lot of the ProStars that run around here.

Thanks Jim. One day I want to get that Prostar kit. I would most likely have to remake one to fit correctly. I think I will add the mounting bracket and build a pallet to make a dio item and not mount it on anything unless a better idea is presented.

I haven't built the ProStar yet (I do have one, though), but I have built the LoneStar & it was a nice kit.

You might consider this P/E set for your ProStar: http://www.czechtruckmodel.com/catus.php

And the frame decals from here: http://bwicke9.wix.com/class-a-resin (I've used decals from him before, & they're nice).

Cool stuff Jim. I like both the Lonestar and Prostar. The Lonestar grill is just awesome looking. Never knew about those stores. Some other truck parts I just found out about.

I'm a member over at The Timber Industry Modelers.

This AutoModeler thread might be useful: http://automodeler.kitmaker.net/forums/226789&page=1

Thanks Jim. I will have to spend some time looking those over.

Had some extra balsa wood laying around, another testbed project making a pallet.

Nice looking pallet.
