Are there any aces of the greatest ww2 fighter simulator? Any on-line fliers?
The only game I play any more...
An example of the damage modelling...

I played Microsoft's Fighter Ace (started with 1.5, then moved to 2) on line. But I haven't flown since September because when I moved I don't get cable modem access here and the dial up was not stable enough. I usually flew the Spitfire XIVe.

I just got a new computer that can handle this game. I've wanted it since it first came out, but my computer wasn't good enough. Is IL-2 really worth buying?

Worth buying? Well, it IS the best around...And it also delivers a great number of flyable planes, both German and Russian, with very delecant physics, damage modeling and natural behavior. No other flight sim has this kind of "gut feel" in its flight models. And for me, at least, itīs very refreshing to fly other planes than Spits, Mustangs and Hurricanes every once in a while. Those Russian LAGGs and MiGs are real fun to fly.
I hope UbiSoft continues the development to display other theatres with the great game engine...
I have a 700Mhz Duron with 256Mb and a GeForce2GTS and 128K connection and itīs well enough!
Thumbs up!

My system is also a little gutless for this sim, but it does look fantastic. I usually play the older sims WWII Fighters, USAF, MigAlley, Falcon 4.0, etc.
