hey all, quick question regarding dio bases, particularly styrene foam type material. What type of material do you use and where do you buy it?

Do you mean Styrofoam? If so, it can be purchased at Lowe's, Home Depot, etc. It comes in various thickness; look in the Insulation Department.

want really looking for styrofoam, makes too much of a mess.

I wa under the impression that there was a better type of foam out the for use as base material. might look into using that green foam that florists use.

Aha! ... It can be messy. It's not too bad if you use a long, sharp blade though.

Now I'm curious about the "green" stuff -- might just be the same material packaged differently (more $$$). I'll have to check it out.

The green suff I have seen can be found as Floracraft Wet Foam. A lot of florists us it in their vases to hold the plants.

there is a dry foam version of it also but I do have any experience with it.
