Is there a way to safely debond cynoaqualate glue joint without softening the plastic?

That's the danger using the debonder (Acetone) you never know if the plastic will or won;t soften..

You could try putting the piece in the freezer , maybe if frozen the super glue will fracture and be easier to remove . Just an idea .

I've used oven cleaner, with great success. But, your safest method would be to put it in the freezer.
