I'm hoping that one or more of you might be able to help me with some project research please?

I have just purchased the Wingnut Wings (WnW) 1/32nd scale RNAS Sopwith Pup. This, when it's built, will be my first kit build in 30-odd years, and that was armour, so a big leap for me, definitely puts me well outside of my comfort zone...eeeeek!

Therefore i have decided that if i'm in for the penny,i might as well be in for the pound. It is my intention to display the kit on a 'Flying Off Platform' as seen oft seen atop the gun turret of WW1 warships.

I am in the process of collecting images that might be of use, however, my question is this:

- can anyone help me with schematics and dimensions of such platforms?

- schematics and dimensions of the gun turret(s)?

- and how platform and turret were married together?

- any other pertinent information?

Any, and all, information/assistance would be gratefully appreciated.

I will also post this in 'AeroScale'.
