The carpet monster strikes, again. I need part "A4" from Dragon's M4A3 BotB Sherman. I'm not sure if it is common to other kits, so I have included the following photos:

I just checked my to be converted Shermans and neither has that part. Worst cast, you should be able to scratch a replacement (at which [point you'll find the original).

Would the same part from a 1/35 Testor's M4A3 work? I have some of the parts for this kit in my spare parts box and they include both of these support struts. I compared them to similar parts on a Dragon M4A1 (76mm)I have built and they seem similar.
Send me a PM to arrange details if you are interested.

Hi Matt,
While I have some from Italeri kits in the spares box that I'd happily send, you would do better making new ones from Evergreen strip. The real things are thin metal strips, hinged in the middle, and the kit part just looks clunky. I use 0.030x0.010" strips, and a little bit of 0.020" rod for the pivot bolts.

I spent two hours trying to make a new one. For some reason, the styrene rod I am using for the bolts aren't curing. I exhausted 2" of rod trying to make one.
