Update on the 42nd AWI Highland Bust Project ---

Realized I needed a 1/6 Brown Bess... STEP 1: Found a great 4 view drawing online and photo-enlarged it to a scale size. STEP 2: Found the appropriate thickness of wood in my workshop and STEP 3: Glued the cut paper enlargement to the wood with spray adhesive. Step 4: Cut out with jeweler’s saw, STEP 5: channeled stock for the barrel (aluminum tube split on the underside to create the appropriate taper) and Step 5 rough sanded the stock to basic proportions. Hardware - lock, butt plate, trigger guard, etc. tomorrow. Thinking about making a mold of Brown Bess for future projects.

Now I need to decide the final pose... or as my daughter suggested maybe I need to make two.... one for her!
