I don't think Jim was chastising me for the contest, I think it was more to cover his own butt. That way people know that Armorama didn't sponsor the contest and if there is any problems the site is not liable. Or at least that is the way I took it

I would be more than happy to run something like this again. This group has given me a ton of information, this was my way of helping in return. (:-)

Same here, it just seems to "fit" in with the overall sense of community that all modelers here, of all genres, have said exceed all other sites. No Accident, its the people and the way Jim and the Moderators have cultivated the culture here.

So basically I agree with your summation and concur with Jim's astuteness in keeping the site free of any potential pitfalls. BUT I saw I wasn't the only guy interested in donating a kit next go round.
This could help keep the community spirit alive, and keep the hobby growing.

BTW: milliput is cool stuff - just tried my first batch.

Ok, I'll have to dissapoint another winner then and go for the Italeri White M3A1 Scout Car #231 :-)

Thanks a million.

Don,
Lol...that is definately the way I was looking at it also. It would be fine with me if this were made some kind of annual or semi-annual thing. I know for some of our younger members out there a year seems like a long time. Too me it seems like last month when I was saying "I have a whole year to put together a 2004 Calendar!" Doh!! Year's up. (Fortunately I have an excuse on the calendar as I didn't get enough hi-res submissions that met the bill.)

Sorry about that Swede.

I picked the model more based on the manufacturer then anything else. Always wanted to see how the AFV models were. Haven't found any local shop (within 120/200 miles/KM) that carries that line Except for the fact it was a tank that I haven't built before. slightly biased in what I build.

Hey Manchu

I'm just kidding.
I'm as happy for the Scout car. I'm going to build it as a Swedish UN-vehicle from Congo in the sixties.

Just a quick update. I am still waiting to hear from Bodeen. After that MEBM and finally StarTraveler will have their choice of models. The three models left are:

1:72 F-14D Super Tomcat by Revell (Kit Number 04392)
Babylon 5 Space Station by Revell (Kit Number 85-3622)
Donated by Merlin - 1/72 Dragon/Italeri P-38 Kit No. 032

Again I want to thank everyone who made this give-away such a success.

Salute Comrades.
I hope we have another one of these giveaways soon ... not for the matter of getting free stuff but for the feeling of actually winning something. Congrats to all winners.

Regards, comrade Zver

I heard from Bodeen today and he has declined his prize. I have been contacted by MEBM and he has selected the P-38. So now, I need to know what StarTraveler wants and then I will draw one more name for the final prize.

StarTraveler, your choices are:

1:72 F-14D Super Tomcat by Revell (Kit Number 04392)
Babylon 5 Space Station by Revell (Kit Number 85-3622)

Thanks!
