So I'm finishing up a kit yesterday, Tamiya Pak 40. It's the first kit I've built in about 18 years. My 5 year old son is sitting there watching me for a while. Finally after a final inspection for mold lines, I call it built and ready for primer/paint. He looks it closely for a minute and says "You finished it!". I replied, "I'm halfway there. Next comes the paint and weathering". "What color are you going to paint it?" he asked. I showed him the box art (German Gray). He looked at me for a minute and said "It's already gray.....". I smiled and said "Well, painting it will make it look more realistic and not like a plastic model". His reply "But it is a plastic model daddy..."

I honestly didn't have a response to that, lol
