I watched this program on PBS recently and found it to be very interesting.
Escape from Nazi AlcatrazI remember watching the movie The Birdmen when I was around 6 or 7 years old.
The Birdmen (1971)The story has always been fascianting to me and so I was pleased to discover this program which I enthusiaticaly watched. I hope that you will find it to be interesting as well.

I too saw this. Quite and ingenious attempt. I'm really surprised that the plane glided as far as it did.
Ideals are peaceful. History is violent.
