KFC gravy rules! Jollibee gravy turns sour after a time - but not KFC gravy! KFC gravy is thicker, has a perfect blend of spices, and makes great "soup."

Jollibee gravy is sour once it cools. It does not make good "soup."

McDonalds gravy is the worst so far. Blech!

The pieces are in place, the battleground chosen... thus starteth the Great Gravy Debate!

KFC gravy is thick, good, spicy, good, tasty...............yes

Jollibee gravy is thinner, fine, spicy, good, tasty, Definitely with the tidbits of sweetness, saltiness, Mushroomish tastiness, YES! it is simply addictive!

I agree about McDo gravy. Very bland..........

Anyone care to join us? It's quite boring if only two people are joining this almighty, very-much-non-scale-modelling-associated topic. Hey! the more the merrier!

Merry Christmas! (:-) (:-)

Oh no. After an M4-M16, M16-AK-47, now a gravy? I choose Kenny Roger's Gravy. It has the spice, the thickness and the delicious taste. Yum yum

Must...have...KFC gravy...uhh.....

Must...order...spicy chicken....Must...grab...HOTSHOTS...

Can't get enough of it....When you order a bucket of their really spicy chicken, you get gravy in some sort of plastic glass like container...Bitin pa nga e....

What I do, sinasabaw ko sa kanin..Then binubuhos ko sa "really spicy chicken"....Sarap.....

Colonel Sanders is still the best!

MWUHAHAHA! Me newly installed Mind Control Device (tm) I gots from under the Christmas tree seems to be working... flawlessly... MWUHAHAHAHAHA!

Actually, Kenny Roger's gravy is quite good as well... it has a smokey flavor to it. It'll probably rank 2d in my gravy list - 1st is of course KFC gravy.

Carl's Jr.'s gravy sucks as well. Also, their chicken is very very skimpy. You can get more from Mini Stop. Mini Stop gravy is a bit salty, something like Jollibee, but a bit better - it ain't sour when it cools, not like Jollibee.

Oh yeah, LW hit it right... 2-pc. Hot n' Spicy, extra rice, large rootbeer, extra large KFC gravy.... mmmmmmmmm.... reminds me of my Lasallian days... oh yeah... them very good days... (especially when she was around campus... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh........... God I miss her!)

Gravy na ito! I'll take Mang Tomas "gravy" anyday.

Sorry GI, try eating at KFC for 4 straight days. You'll see, the gravy is so disgustingly commercial I felt like I was about to have the flu. #:-)

I have... back in my Lasallian days... and I never got sick of it MWUHAHAHAHAHA!

Eating Jollibee gravy for just 2 straight days on the otherhand... now THAT is so disgustingly commercial hehehehehe

Speaking of Mang Tomas (hey, that's... ME!) there was one particular bottle that was either bottled by a person with no taste buds or was crying while bottling it or was perspiring profusely, because it was so damn salty! Think: two tablespoons of salt - that salty. Ewwww.... but it was just one bottle - the succeeding ones we bought from the grocery was good ol' Mang Tomas which is, for me tastebuds at the very least, good only for breaded porkchop and inihaw na baboy.

Come to think of it, the gravy used for lechon is great - actually, it depends. Some make it too salty, others are a perfect blend of sweetness and spicyness. One good lechon baboy/chicken gravy/sarsa is the one near me home sold at Toto's Lechon. Mmmmmmm... I always ask for an additional plastic of their sweet-spicy blend of sarsa... yum yum! Not to mention artery-clogging as well hehehe

I must agree with Mang Tomas. Works well with any food you order. Second to that Kenny's gravy taste very well with SOLO A, classic roast, mac and cheese sidedish and a large Mountain Dew. Yum yum. As the third one, I like KFC's gravy. Goes well with a Zinger meal, a large Mountain Dew and a mac sidedish.

I agree with everyone on Mang Tomas. When they said it was all-around, it WAS definitely all-around. From Hotdogs to Fried Chicken to barbecue or whatever.

The main ingredient of lechon gravy IS Mang Tomas. The lechon guys then add spices & re-cook it to get that distinctive lechon gravy taste.

It seems I'm going to make my Jollibee gravy stand ALONE. You guys really love KFC gravy huh?

Not necessarily. That's only when they get lazzzzzzzzzzzzy. Real gravy is by definition thickened animal fat - drippings, really, while the meat is cooked. The fat is collected and mixed up with kidney, liver, or other stuff, along with some spices. Now that is real gravy. Sometimes, starch is added to thicken it.

Grabe GI,

Your description of gravy is pretty heart-renching! KFC gravy gets my vote. As for me, Mang Thomas is good with lechon, cispy pata, rice, imbutido, tuyo, and bacon. I don't know with you but I had too much food intake yesterday. Can't wait to get back to the gym!

I can't wait to get back to the gym, too. Which gym do you go to bistro?

I'm not a gravy person, but I am a bit partial to KFC gravy, but KFC gravy is pretty bland compared to Jollibee gravy for me.

I'm more of a Tabasco person. Hehe! SO there, I leave you guys to your gravy debate. Mcdonlads ketchup is better than Jollibee ketchup, that I will debate for.

Jomz: feel free to start with a catsup/ketchup/thick-gooey-blood-sauce debate thread hehehehe! I'll join in as well starting with the declaration: "Banana ketchup is da best! Especially Jufran - or was it Mafran? - banana ketchup/catsup (whatever), which supplies Mack's Pride Schicken!

Masarp din ang Teriyaki sauce...Yum!

Pati yung "Jufran Sweet & Spicy" na sauce, yung prang kulay orange with sili bits.

Pero pinakamasarap sa lahat, yung malapot na sawsawan ng fishballs sa may labasan...

I went out to check sa labas ng bahay namin and I don't see any fishball vendor there with the sauce you're talking about. Saang labasan ba yun? I'm getting confused... (probably all that gravy taking its effect on... UGH!... MY HEART! *SLAM!*)

No Sh*t TOMAS ! We have another thing that we don't agree upon, KETCHUP. Nothing's like Heinz TOMATO ketchup!!!!!!.

Jomz, on with the Ketchup thread! #:-) #:-) #:-) #:-)

Or maybe TOMAS, you could change the topic of this thread as "The Sauce Debate" or something.

Cheers!

TOMMY should have one whole thread of his and rename if the off-topic thread since the Filipino forums are being cramped up lately of pretty much OVERTLY OT threads, I say overtly since most of the new threads are surveys, online tests or whatnot. Not that I have anything against them, pero, di kaya masyado ma out-of-focus o ma push back yung higher-priority threads. Just something to have some 'corum' around.

Or maybe instead of making new threads on a new online test, why not have a thread FOR online tests? Diba? Suggestion lang mga comrades.

With regards to catsup, Del Monte floats my boat, bar-none, UFC and the other boatload of Banan a Ketchup just doesn't give that kind of flavor Del Monte has. I can live off catsup, some water and catsup, you've got tomato soup, some catsup and rice, you've got yourself merienda! haha!

Diba meron before Happy Birthday Toyo na brand nang Toyo?

Jomz: Nah... you're just jealous.

One must have a well-rounded personality hehehehe

Fritz: Actually, we can agree to that one. Heinz is my second favorite catsup/ketchup. Have you tried the green colored variety which Burger King gave out last Haloween? Of course, no change in taste, texture nor thickness, but it sure is weird eating a hamburger and chips with green goo. :-)

Hmmm, I see your point on the off-topic-ness, but nonetheless I still stand beside my suggestion. It's just my take on the Filipino Phorums not degrading into something like what pEx had before where there was a thread for everything, even your neighbors dog has a thread on its daily activities. Catch my drift? It's just a means of organizing stuff, not sanitizing, censoring or segregating stuff. I have friends who run forum-sites, but I wouldn't want to go there since that's a whole other thing.

So I see the indications, and I really understand them, really. I know where we're located, but IMO it doesn't really mean that we're found at the off-topic section, we should always be off-topic. Frankly I just go to armorama to check on this forum -- and trust me I'm not too much of an Armor-modeler to even want to desire a hardcore-all-modelling forum. I go here for it's off-topic-ness. Get my drift, again?
