The AMPS Great White North Show is less than three weeks away! The show is taking place at the Ontario Regiment RCAC Tank Museum at Oshawa airport on May 30-31, 2014.

We’re happy to add a special guest to our show. On Saturday, May 31, author Roger Lucy will be signing copies of his new book, “Canada’s Pride: The Ram Tank and Its Variants,” which will be launched by Service Publications at their vending tables. Pop by and get your author’s signed copy of this must-have book for Canadian armour enthusiasts (290 pages of Canadian tank goodness!).

As anybody who has been to a show with an open judging system (either AMPS or something similar) knows, we need a lot of help to make the show happen. In particular, we need lots of people to pitch in with judging. To that end, we've added a form on our site where you can sign up for judging sessions:

If you do two judging shifts, you’ll get a spiffy AMPS – Great White North t-shirt that will make you the envy of your armour modelling friends! Plus, anybody who judges at the show will be entered in a raffle for an Iwata Revolution CR gravity-feed dual-action airbrush.

For people in the Greater Toronto Area, AMPS – Great White North Chief Judge Paul Roberts will be running an AMPS judging clinic at Hornet Hobbies on Saturday, May 17th from 10:00AM to 5:00PM. Drop in to learn more about the AMPS judging system and participate in one of several judges’ training sessions that will be run throughout the day. For people within driving distance of London, Ontario, you are welcome to come out the AMPS Southwestern Ontario meeting on Thursday, May 15th from 7:00-9:00PM at the Westmount Library, 3200 Wonderland Road South, London, Ontario, N6L 1A6, where Paul Roberts will be doing a judges’ training session for AMPS SWO members and anybody else who can attend.

Preregistration for the show is open. You can preregister your models (under the "register" tab) and find out more details about the show at the show's site: http://www.ampsgreatwhitenorth.com/. If you're planning to come to the show and enter, then preregistration helps both you (it will be quicker to get your models entered) and the show organizers (it helps us anticipate how many models are going to be at the show, how many judges we're going to need, etc.).

Anybody who brings their models to the show on Friday evening (preregistered or not – as long as you physically bring your models on Friday) will be entered into a raffle for an Iwata Neo CN airbrush and Neo Air portable compressor set. So bring out your models Friday night!
