Hello everyone.

I am building a model of Erich Topp's U-552. What colors would I use? Would AK Interactive's set fit the bill? I prefer acrylics.

Be well.

Alex,
Are you brush painting or airbrushing?

Cheers,
Joe

Joe.

I could do either. A friend of mine brush painted a U-boat model years ago using Humbrol: magnificent results. Not a brush stroke to be seen: it looked airbrushed.

Thanks.

Ahoy Alex,

Upper hull and tower........Light gray
Lower hull..................Dark Gray
Deck & tower floor..........Charcoal gray (Black/gray)

This will give a good representation of U552

Cheers,
Joe

Thanks Joe.

I'm going to try Lifecolor's Kriegsmarine Set 2 which appears to be designed for U-boat colors. Thank you for your help.
