Given the military-oriented nature of this network I though an option for an emoticon of a salute would be a neat addition. Something kind of like this:

Anyone agree?

Cheers Rob.

But we already have a salute emoticon

It's on the bottom row, fifth from the left.

Is that what that is? Honestly, I mistook that for him signing pointing a gun to his head (to indicate he realized he had said or done something stupid).

LOL. I hope that doesn't indicate I have some hidden psychosis.

Thanks for clearing that up, Allen.

now that I look at it, your thoughts do better describe it (despite it smiling while pulling the trigger).

I do know that some members have used it as a salute before in the past as your description would make phases like this a bit weird, "I salute you " or " Happy birthday "

Personally I prefer to use this one I found a while ago

Well, then how about a picture of a guy with a dunce cap? Something I would find useful when I simultaneously realize that my post was stupid and the statute of limitations for editing/deleting it has expired? I would have worn that one out already.
