Airfix advertises for sale a “Stirling BI-BIII”. On the box art, looks like the upper turret is changed (Lancaster type instead of Short type). I’m wondering if this is simply a re-boxing of the well-known old kit or a new mould.

Is there a list of Airfix new-old moulds? New boxes have better decals but sprues come from tired and worn moulds…

No, that would be a Sunderland, which is also available from Airfix (old) and Italeri (new). A Stirling looks like this.

It's a very old kit but with a bit of care it can turn out really nice

Thank you. I did more research. The optional turret was present in the old one, so it’s exactly the same tool, without modification.

However, I suspect that ground vehicle and bomb trolleys are missing in later issues.
