This is my first time posting one of my builds. I really wanted the subject of this kit for my collection and after looking at the kit I'm sure it will stress my skills.
So far I have the wheels built. The engine and front axle done and I'm starting on the frame.
My impressions so far, lots of very small parts with many attachment points. I found that this really makes it hard to clean up all the attachment points. For example part A53 has eight attachment points. A lot care needs to be taken in deciding which attachment to cut first so as not too stress the remaining points. I cut the wrong attachment on C25 and broke the part do to stress. Fortunately I was able to repair the part.
So far only minor fix problems. C49/C50 needed to be trimmed to make a tight fix. Otherwise the engine went together without any fix problems. For now I have left the PE fan off. Another point is that on the wheel the rim is very shallow and I used a scribe to give it more definition. I found that the hubs on the front axle needed to be trimmed slightly for a good fit with the wheels.
Next step is coming up with a jig to get good alignment on with the frame. Also I'll need to make the correction too parts C59/C60 from Mirror Models website.
Note: seems to be a second steering wheel on the trees just in case.
These are some picture of my progress.
Thanks for reading
Russ

Jim,
This is the Diamond T 4-ton wrecker by Mirror Models. Yes it very detailed, I have check references to make sure I'm not sanding off bolt heads or nuts when I'm cleaning up attachment points. I wanted something different from my normal M4s and Panzers.
