hi everyone im new to scratchbuilding tanks although ive done a bit on other projects before. how exactly do u guys go about scratchbuilding the running gear/ tracks etc. or do you just modify an existing kit's? im interested at having a go at scratcbuilding a tank maybe a small russian light tanks (t-38,t-28 or so) or something similarly easy.

I usually see variants not made by model kit companies of tanks, APCs and tractors scratch built and then utilize existing kit tracks of the other variant.

However, if you have good referance materials like pictures and drawing. Then you can use thin brass, plastic, metal rod etc
